$1 Budget: Arm, Clamp, Couple!

This week we take another look at some $1 finds, probably for the last time. By "last time", I mean that due to popular demand, the budget for items featured on this show will increase (probably to $10). That way, my options will open up for more diversity, and hopefully I will get more input from those watching that may have a good suggestion or two. I'm not sure if I will be able to feature as many items as I have in the past, but it should open things up a bit.

As a proposal for a future installment, I think that the EasyCap USB video capture interface could be useful in allowing the use of a small laptop or tablet computer (even a smart phone) as a video monitor.

They are readily available for under $10 and, assuming the user already has a laptop, would obviate the need to purchase a dedicated video monitor such as the one you described in the Frugal Crane 2.0 episode. (This would also permit recording the video on the computer's harddrive, either as a backup or a substitute to the camera's recording media).

I purchased the following one on Ebay, but similar devices are available elsewhere in the same price range.
